Originally made by Philips, with production eventually transferred to Heraeus Noblelight, these lamps are typically used as a source in polarimetry, including for the following instruments: PerkinElmer 141 &#8211; PerkinElmer 141MC &#8211; PerkinElmer 241 &#8211; PerkinElmer 241C &#8211; PerkinElmer 243 &#8211; PerkinElmer 341 &#8211; PerkinElmer 343.  The lamps are 174 mm long, with a 30 mm diameter, a 19 mm arc gap and have an E27 screw base.  The are also known as 93122E, 80048310, Philips 93122E, Philips 93122NA, NA93122E, 30988-0 and &#8220;Type 93122&#8221; lamps.
